Cynthia Gomez is an associate in the Miami office of Arnstein & Lehr LLP and a member of the firm’s Immigration and EB-5 Practice Groups. She practices primarily in the area of business immigration law, but also represents clients in their family-based and removal defense matters before USCIS, EOIR and the BIA. Specialties include: E-2 Treaty Investor Visas at various Consular Posts; Extraordinary Ability Visas (O-1 and EB-1); Immigrant Investor Petitions (EB-5) for both Direct and Regional Center Investments; Intercompany Transferees (L-1) and Multinational Managers/Executives (EB-1C); PERM, Advanced Degree Professionals (EB-2) and Specialty, Professional, Skilled & Non-Skilled Workers (H-1B, EB-3); and National Interest Waivers. She also prepares Asylum cases; complex Adjustment of Status applications, U visas, VAWA and various waivers: I-601(A); 212(h); 237(a)(1)(H); 212(d)(3); 245(k); Appeals and Motions to Reopen and Reconsider.

Ms. Gomez graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review, Vice President of Phi Delta Phi, International Legal Honors Fraternity, and Secretary of the Student Chapter of AILA. Ms. Gomez interned with the Department of Homeland Security ICE Office of the Chief Counsel in Miami, where she gained extensive litigation experience, drafted various motions and assisted with BIA appeal briefs. During her third year of law school, Ms. Gomez served as a Law Student Representative for the St. Thomas Immigration Clinic, where she represented clients in removal proceedings, conducted client intake and legal research on complex litigation issues, and drafted various memorandums and motions.

Ms. Gomez has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Rutgers University. She is fluent in Spanish.
